C3 Energy announced that it has been selected by Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE), a subsidiary of Exelon Corporation, has selected its Energy Smart Grid Analytics software to achieve its goal of ensuring cost-effective, efficient, and reliable energy delivery as it continues to develop its smart grid. Leidos, an engineering, health and national security solutions company, was awarded the next phase of a 10-year contract with United Power to implement an additional 20,000 meters supporting the utility's advanced metering infrastructure project. United Power is a rural electric cooperative providing service to homes and businesses in Colorado'snorthern Front Range. Read more >>
Indiana Michigan Power plans to invest $500 million to upgrade northeast Indiana’s facilities for distributing electricity. The project -- called "Powering Up Northeast Indiana” by the utility -- involves rebuilding and improving power lines, building some new transmission lines, building and improving substations and updating equipment.
