Rooftop solar project gets $11M in tax credit rebates


North America's largest rooftop solar power plant has been completed and is supplying up to 80 percent of Gloucester Marine Terminal's power demand. The terminal received $11 million in tax credit rebates, under the Section 1603 program, from the U.S. Department of the Treasury. In total, the project cost $42 million and consists of 27,526 photovoltaic rooftop solar panels covering 1.1 million square foot of rooftop. Article
