Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E) is behind one of North America's most comprehensive, end-to-end smart grid deployments. IBM has been a longtime partner on the project, which has been widely praised by customers, policymakers and experts alike. We were fortunate to have Joel Webb, OG&E's Expert Solution Architect, and Ed Rossi, Senior Product Management and Strategy Leader for Smarter Infrastructure at IBM, join us Nov. 1, 2012 for another in our Lessons from the Real World webinar series during which we took a look "under the hood" at OG&E's smart grid.

If you missed the webinar or want to review it, we have split it into five installments. To watch the second segment, click the Watch the Replay link at the top of this page. You'll hear Joel Webb of OG&E discusses the utility's smart grid goals, motivations, planning and the processes behind their initial smart grid deployment.

You can also download the slide deck used during the webinar and read SGN Chief Analyst Jesse Berst's interview with Webb about the OG&E project.
