Messaging AMI to your customers

Quick Take: One of the most important things you can do is get out in front of the issue by setting up a full-scale customer communications and engagement program. A web site is one key aspect. Here are some strong examples. Use the Comment form to suggest other great sites. - By Jesse Berst
TXU Energy offers business customers a nuts and bolts overview of smart meters, what to expect, how they work and how to track information like power usage and cost savings. The site also offers FAQ sections on smart meters and meter accuracy.
The UK’s Department of Energy and Climate Change offers similar information at its smart meter site, which also includes explanations of the government-mandated smart meter rollout, customer protections and privacy, prepayment and installation timeframes. The UK site also lists sources for additional information on energy efficiency and national energy infrastructure planning.
