Kyle Seymour, who has been on the S&C Electric board of directors since 2010, has been appointed president of the company, succeeding John Estey, who will continue full time as S&C’s executive chairman.
“I believe Kyle not only understands, but very much values the unique culture, history and guiding principles that have helped make S&C a success. Kyle has my unqualified support,” said Estey.
Seymour has a background in leadership and manufacturing, most recently as president and CEO of XTEK., an employee-owned manufacturer of heavy-duty mechanical components for steel rolling mill drives and overhead cranes. He was there 11 years.
“Electric power systems are essential to economic vitality and quality of life, and I am honored to lead a company with a century-long history of innovating solutions to the most challenging power delivery problems,” said Seymour. “S&C is inventing some of the best products and solutions to meet 21st century demands, and I look forward to continuing that tradition.”
