Tropos Networks: Tropos continues its wireless smart grid network communications momentum with new customers and ongoing projects at IOUs and MOUs such as DTE Energy, Avista, Fort Collins Utilities and Idaho Falls Power. Recently awarded its 40th patent for broadband wireless mesh technology, Tropos plans significant announcements in 2012 including its January release of its Mesh OS 7.7 that brings enterprise class security to utility’s field area networks and is the first IPsec-based, NERC CIP compliant solution for extending secure wireless communications all the way through substations to distribution automation endpoints.
