Now Itron has broadened its cloud capabilities by teaming with C3 Energy to pre-integrate that company's cloud offerings with Itron's metering and metering data management systems. It's an arms race to see which company can provide the most complete selection of powerful, pre-integrated applications, and utilities will only benefit from the additional choice. – Jesse Berst
Itron and C3 Energy – which provides energy efficiency and customer engagement management solutions for utilities --say their collaboration will enable North American utilities to leverage their Itron smart metering and MDM technologies to provide comprehensive energy management services to their customers.
The companies also note that the new integrated solution "helps utilities quickly get from fine-grain data collection to proven customer value, through greater energy efficiency and improved customer relationships."
