“The Obama-Biden administration has taken many important steps to create clean energy jobs,” noted John Podesta, President and CEO of the Center for American Progress. “The Better Buildings Initiative, the first offshore wind energy farm in the U.S., and public health standards to reduce power plant pollution, and the proposed next generation fuel economy standards, will each act to further spur investment and innovation. Among those speaking to the challenges ahead will be Jesse Berst, founding editor and chief analyst for Smart Grid News. Others include DOE Secretary Steven Chu, Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, Duke Energy CEO Jim Rogers, NV Energy CEO Michael Yackira, FERC Chairman Jon Wellinghoff and many more.
