Demand Response Top of Mind with Utilities, New Research Reveals

Research from Pacific Crest Securities reveals that demand response has jumped past reliability and deferred construction as the top motivator for Smart Grid deployments. Click to read more and to learn how to get free access to future research.

Smart Grid Standards Done Right

Face it folks – we’re not going to get the Smart Grid we want (and at the price we can afford) without strong interoperability standards. We need more standards, we need better standards and we need them in a hurry. Here is the first in a series of articles from EPRI expert Joe Hughes on how we get there and how you and your company can benefit.

Smart Grid: The Tuesday Topic - Smart Grid News - Grid Modernization and the Smart Grid

 THE TUESDAY TOPIC

Is the smart grid industry stalled? Or accelerating?

We're getting mixed signals about the vitality of the smart grid market. On the one hand, the recent DistribuTECH conference was one of the most successful ever. On the other, a well-known Wall Street analyst recently told his clients that the smart metering sector is "facing several headwinds," including weak regulatory support in the U.S. and delays in European adoption. Taking the pulse of the smart grid industry is this week's Tuesday Topic.
