OASIS Blue Ramps Up Smart Grid Standards Work on Energy, Smart Buildings, Natural Resources By SGN Staff Mar 9, 2010 - 1:31:33 PM
International open standards consortium OASIS has launched a new section, OASIS Blue, to bring a number of open standards projects together to develop efficient, sustainable Smart Grid use models for energy, intelligent buildings and natural resources. The organization says these Smart Grid standards are needed to promote "efficient, effective economic growth and enable rapid innovation." Here's the rest of the story.
Quick Take: If you share the vision of an end-to-end grid, then you know how important it is to bring the grid together with buildings. Here is a new organization devoted to building out the interoperability standards to make that happen. Normally, I would be leery of YAA (Yet Another Acronym), but this group seems to have all the right players on board, including representatives of other Smart Grid standards groups.
