Demand response and smart grid National Town Meeting set for July, 2011

A major theme of the 2011 National Town Meeting on Demand Response and Smart Grid will be "Overcome the Barriers." The meeting will be held July 13-14, 2011, in Washington, D.C., the Demand Response Coordinating Committee (DRCC) said Monday. Meeting topics are expected to include the National Action Plan on Demand Response, consumer acceptance of smart meters and time-based rates, best practices in smart grid technology deployment, renewable energy and the smart grid, EV integration, efficiency and demand response, and policy on data access and privacy.
