Diversified manufacturing and technology leader Honeywell has acquired Smart Grid services provider and demand response leader Akuacom. Akuacom's expertise with fully automated demand response adds significant depth to Honeywell's management experience in utility-sponsored DR programs, from design and load control technology to marketing and customer support. Details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
