1 Honeywell has been selected by China's State Grid Electric Power Research Institute to conduct the country's first demand response demonstration project.
With the AutoDR technology, customers set up customized energy reduction strategies for their operations that are automatically triggered during peak load events. Utilities will be able to reduce energy use during those periods and commercial customers can restrict their energy use and costs without disrupting critical operations.
"Cutting demand and consumption is the cheapest and cleanest source of energy, and this project will create the bridge between the utility and its customers to make using less easy and automatic," said Stehen Shang, president of Honeywell China.
