Meanwhile, the Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator (MITSO) has already declared a record this week, with the highest demand ever for electricity in the 12-state area it serves. As Renew Grid reports, the MITSO has put a proposal in motion to lock down demand response mechanisms for future sustained periods of high loads.
