Trimble has released a new version of its Field Inspector software that is designed for automating utility infrastructure and smart grid asset maintenance and inspection. The software is compatible with a variety of Trimble's handheld computers used by mobile workforces. Gaining intelligence from smart grid implementations
Detectent has launched CustomerIP, a software and toolset designed to enable rapid deployment of business intelligence and analytics for utilities that are implementing or planning smart grid projects. “Our technology can help utilities obtain the smart grid post-implementation benefits, often referred to as day-two benefits, much faster and at a much lower investment,” said Detectent CEO Michael Madrazo, noting that demands on utilities from regulators and shareholders to demonstrate quantifiable benefits to rate payers have been increasing at a rapid pace.
