Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG)
- The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act included $3.2 billion for the EECBG program, approximately $2.8 billion of which will be distributed by a formula (approximately 68 percent to cities and counties and 28 percent to states) and the remaining $400 million distributed on a competitive basis. In Oklahoma, 15 cities and 10 counties have been allocated direct grants ranging from $181,700 for Muskogee to $5.48 million for Oklahoma City. In addition, 37 Oklahoma Indian tribes have been allocated $11.25 million. The State Energy Office allocation is $9.59 million.
