SELECT OHIO ENERGY PROJECTS
Biomass Waste-to-Energy Program
- This program solicits applications for biomass waste-to-energy projects including, but not limited to, anaerobic digestion projects that are near ready for implementation to serve as demonstrations of this technology in Ohio’s farm communities. The Biomass – Waste-to-Energy Program aims to encourage private investments in projects that will move forward within the next eighteen (18) months. A total of $500,000 is available. One award of $500,000 or two awards of $250,000, each, will be made to the highest-scoring qualified applicant(s). Inputs must include farm waste and can include, but are not required to include, food processing waste. Outputs may be grid-connected electricity, thermal energy, and/or conditioned methane gas.

· To qualify for the Advanced Energy Grant Program, projects must be located in Ohio and in the service territories of one of the four participating investor owned electric distribution companies. The four companies are:

Clean Cities Petroleum Reduction Technologies Projects for the Transportation Sector
- Funds for cost-shared projects that expand the use of alternative fuel and advanced vehicle technologies including the installation or acquisition of infrastructure necessary to directly support these vehicles. Up to 30 awards with a 50/50 cost share will be appointed. The funding minimum per project is $5 million to a maximum of $15 million.

Batteries / Component for Electric Vehicles
- Construction (including production capacity increase of current plants) of U.S. based manufacturing plants to produce batteries and electric drive components. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: cell and battery manufacturing facilities; advanced battery supplier manufacturing facilities; advanced lithium ion battery recycling facilities; and electric drive component and subcomponent manufacturing facilities. Funding available for more than 37 anticipated awards.
