SELECT ENERGY PROJECTS
State Energy Program
State allocation: $123,110,000
Applications for projects will be solicited following DOE approval of the state’s plan. Potential uses include energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy capital projects; building and facility energy audits; Energy Code support, and transportation EE and alternative fuels.
Electricity Delivery & Energy Reliability
- Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability to modernize the electric grid, enhance security and reliability of the energy infrastructure, energy storage research and development, demonstration and deployment, facilitate recovery from power disruptions, demonstrate and deploy smart grid technology, and provide worker training.

Fossil Energy Research and Development
- For energy research and development activities including carbon capture and sequestration projects and geological characterization, turbine systems research, and clean coal power.

National Clean Diesel Emerging Technology Program
- The National Clean Diesel Emerging Technology Program will receive approximately $20 million. This funding will support the use, development and commercialization of emerging technologies that reduce emissions from diesel engines.
