The Smart Grid Investment Grants announced today are just one piece of the action when it comes to DOE dollars for energy projects. All 50 states are receiving millions of dollars in stimulus funds to support local initiatives - and it's not too late to tap in.

Millions in Stimulus Dollars Head West
Western governors meeting in Utah got good news from senior Obama Administration officials, who announced nearly $230 million in stimulus funds would be heading West for Smart Grid, transmission and renewable energy projects. Even state public utility commissions get a piece of the ARRA action, according to the June 15 announcement.

DOE to Award $3.2 Billion in Energy Efficiency Block Grants
DOE announced on March 26 that it plans to invest $3.2 billion in energy efficiency and conservation projects in U.S. cities, counties, states, territories, and tribal lands.
