PROJECT WINS . · ABB won a $55 million wind power order from Brazilian utility Eolicas do Sul. ABB will build three new substations to integrate wind energy and boost power supplies to meet Brazil's growing industrial, commercial and residential demand. More >>
· Ventyx inked a $7 million deal with Eskom, Africa's largest electricity supplier. The South African utility will undertake the largest implementation in Africa of Ventyx’s SCADA/DMS for real-time network monitoring and control of electric power operations. More >>
· Survalent Technology based in Ontario, Canada has added a couple more SCADA commissions in the U.S., one for Wiregrass Electric Cooperative in Alabama and another for St. James Municipal Utilities in Missouri. · Landis+Gyr was chosen by Dawson Public Power District to deploy its Gridstream advanced meters to all of the PPD's residential and commercial accounts. Based in Lexington, NE, Dawson PPD is one of the largest rural electric systems in the state of Nebraska, serving about 23,000 electric meters. More >>
