6/09	DOE intends to issue a Funding Opportunity Announcement entitled: Recovery Act: Large Wind Turbine Drivetrain Testing Facility.
Summer 2009	DOE’s Office of the Biomass Program intends to issue two Funding Opportunity Announcements to address R&D efforts related to intermediate ethanol blends and algal and advanced biofuels.
6/25/09	DOE releases solicitations for Smart Grid Investment Grants  and Smart Grid Federal Demonstration Projects.
	Deadline (8 p.m. ET ) for cities, counties and tribes to apply for Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants ($3.2 billion).

7/15/09	Closing date for the National Laboratory’s call for new R&D projects for Next Generation Photovoltaic (PV) Technologies, PV Supply Chain and Crosscutting Technologies, and Advanced Heat Transfer Fluids and Novel Thermal Storage for Concentrating Solar Power.
7/16/09	Letters of intent due for Phase 1 of Smart Grid Investment Grants.
7/22/09	Closing date for applications for DOE Geothermal Technologies Program grants.
7/29/09	Closing date for applications for DOE Wind Energy Consortia grants.
7/30/09	Closing date for applications for DOE  Solar Market Transformation grants.
	Closing date for applications for DOE High Penetration Solar Deployment grants.
	Applications are due from states applying for DOE funds designated for enhancing state government energy assurance capabilities and planning for Smart Grid resiliency.
8/4/09	Deadline to apply for Clean Renewable Energy Bonds (CREBs), which can be used for small- and large-scale renewable energy projects at the local level.
8/6/09	Due date for applications for Phase 1 Smart Grid Investment Grants funding.
8/14/09	Applications are due for the DOE/NETL’s interconnection transmission program that will fund projects relating to the development and implementation of the next generation of high-voltage transmission networks.
8/26/09	Applications for Smart Grid Demonstration Projects due.
8/31/09	Deadline for state PUCs to apply for DOE funding to support hiring additional staff to ensure the appropriate technical expertise will be dedicated to regulatory activities pertaining to ARRA electricity-related initiatives.
9/30/09	Round 2 applications due for the Clean Cities Petroleum Reduction Technologies Projects for the Transportation Sector The Department of Energy is seeking applicants for projects that expand the use of alternative fueled and advance technology vehicles.
10/15/09	Closing date for Baseload Concentrating Solar Power Generation project funds from EERE's Solar Energy Technologies Program ($52.5 million).
	Closing date for Solar America Cities-Technical Outreach project funds from EERE's Solar Energy Technologies Program to help cities build sustainable solar energy infrastructure and expand their solar markets. ($10.5 million).
12/3/09	. Closing date for applications for funds available from DOE's Advanced Carbon Capture Technology at Existing Coal-Fired Power Plants program. ($55 million).
