DOE has released its latest report on the Smart Grid Investment Program (SGIG), the grid modernization program funded by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The updated report includes new information on expenditures, technology and systems installations, grid impacts and lessons learned from the 99 SGIG projects. It includes information on seven analysis reports DOE published over the past year and more than 20 examples of SGIG projects that have been completed.
The report also provides updates on SGIG program accomplishments in cybersecurity and interoperability. Click the link below to download the DOE report.
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has also recently published its annual Assessment of Demand Response and Advanced Metering which offers information on the progress of smart meter installations nationally, including the contribution of SGIG.
