The DOE has released its Open Government Plan, a program that focuses on providing the public and other stakeholders access to its activities and resources, as well as improved communications. The plan includes a free, editable wiki-style platform that provides information about Smart Grid and other technologies, including technical and clean energy deployment resources — in addition to energy, math and science education components.
Quick Take: All government agencies and departments have Open Government Plans, but DOE appears to have developed an extensive program to encourage public engagement with the agency and to share its vast technological and energy education resources with anyone who cares to use it.
