We often hear from readers that they’re glad we’re here. You may not always agree with us – we hear that loud and clear – but for the most part we get the sense you appreciate the fact there’s a trusted, independent voice watching over the smart grid industry.

 

So at the risk of sounding like a PBS telethon, we came up with ways you can show your appreciation if you’re so inclined. And no, we don’t want you to send money, pay for a subscription or buy Jesse’s greatest hits album.  Here’s what we have in mind:

 

1. Link to us on your website

Because of the way Google calculates search, every link to our site helps us preserve our high rankings (as long as you use the precise link language we've provided). We have made it ultra-simple. Just click this link and follow the simple cut-and-paste instructions.

 

 

2. Take advantage of advertiser offers

Many SGN advertisers promote free white papers or webinars in their resource box ads (example at left) that appear on the website and in text ads in our newsletters.

3. Forward our newsletter to a friend

If you get value from our content, chances are someone else you know will too. At the bottom of every newsletter you receive from us, there’s a Forward email link.  And tell your friends when they visit the site they can use the easy sign up box on the top right corner of the page (see below) to subscribe. And if you ever change jobs or don't need our newsletter, there's an easy one click unsubscribe option at the bottom of every newsletter.

 

4. Tell us what’s on your mind

Our site is all about getting the smart grid right and we don’t pretend to have all the answers. That’s why we’ve got Talk Back comment forms at the bottom of our articles (example at right), why we introduced the web’s only smart grid discussion forums and why we frequently ask for your opinion in quick polls and our annual companies to watch initiative. But we also like to hear about interesting things utilities, vendors and other stakeholders are doing, so please feel free to drop us a line. editor@smartgridnews.com
