EV Mobile Charging Tackles ‘Range Anxiety’

Nation-E, a new Swiss company focusing on energy storage solutions for Smart Grid infrastructure and e-mobility, will go on the road this summer to showcase its EV mobile charging system. The idea, the company says, is that a big carrier with an oversize battery charges stranded EVsso they can get to the next charging station. The hope is that it will alleviate the ‘range anxiety’ expected to deter EV adoption for many.

Quick Take: Cool idea in theory, but until we reach critical mass with EVs it’s hard to imagine how the bottom line is going to pencil out.
