The California Energy Commission has awarded Coulomb Technologies $3.4 million to install its ChargePoint® Networked Charging Stations for EVs in Los Angeles, Sacramento and the San Jose/San Francisco Bay area. The total cost of the California project is $12 million, including the Energy Commission matching funds and $5 million in federal money. The award is part of Coulomb's $37 ChargePoint America program which intends to deploy nearly 5,000 home and public charging stations in nine regions of the country. The program is supported by a $15 million Recovery Act grant from the Transportation Electrification Initiative run by the DOE.
