InService 8.3.1 includes improved visualization tools and enhancements to give operators more and clearer awareness with more geographic display control, the result being greater operating efficiency throughout the electrical distribution system, Intergraph says.
The new version also helps operators more easily spot outage patterns and more rapidly consolidate outages and transfer customer calls into a single group for coordinated and efficient field crew response. In addition, InService 8.3.1 helps operators and dispatchers track temporary connections and switching as it occurs in the field, and enables them to install temporary devices on a network to reflect its status at any specific point in time. It includes further involvement with Siemens' Spectrum Power C-DNA to yield integrated power systems analysis and, fault location and isolation and other analytics tools.
"Intergraph's InService products improve control room situational awareness by using high-performance geo-spatial displays and integrated real-time data for visualization," said Tony DiMarco, executive director for Global Utilities & Communications for Intergraph. "Streamlined workflows coupled with integrated outage and distribution management analytics leads the way in providing advanced information systems to modernize smart grid control and dispatch operations, reducing the chance of human error, improving operator and field crew productivity and improving system reliability and customer service."
