Power and automation technology group ABB will add Insert Key Solutions (IKS), a specialist software provider, to its recently acquired Ventyx software portfolio. This latest acquisition will create a comprehensive set of solutions for asset and work management, maintenance optimization and equipment reliability. IKS specializes in software for process improvement, increased equipment reliability and operating performance for power plants and transmission and distribution networks. "Insert Key Solutions provides a highly complementary offering to our solutions for the power industry," said Jens Birgersson, leader of the Network Management business in ABB's Power Systems division. ABB acquired Ventyx in May of this year.
