Utility executives are generally dissatisfied with the progress the Obama administration has made in the past year on energy policy performance and "tangible and actionable policy and legislation," according to a recent Capgemini/Platts survey of more than 100 participants. About 80% of the executives were unsatisfied with progress made on issues such as CO2 legislation, the economic impact of government policies and other critical energy issues. Respondents did say the administration has done a good job of encouraging dialogue about the energy industry generally and sustainable energy such as wind and solar. They also regarded the stimulus package as a plus.
Quick Take: We should remember that while the White House can lay out policy, Congress passes legislation. And you know how well that's been going. So what do you think? How is the Obama Administration doing? How is Congress doing? Use the Talk Back comment form to weigh in.
