Formation of the Global Smart Grid Federation was announced at this week's Smart Grid Ministerial in Washington, D.C. The Federation intends to unite countries around the world working on Smart Grid initiatives to encourage sharing ideas and best practices across the spectrum of technology, customer engagement and capacity building. Membership is open to national Smart Grid organizations.
