Watch a Reduce Your Use video on page 2 >> 1 San Diego Gas & Electric customers who can cut their power use between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on specific days can save some money on their electric bill in the form of a credit.
Customers who reduce their power use on those days will get a credit of $.75 per kilowatt hour on their next bill. Residential and business customers eligible for the Reduce Your Use day program can set up email or text alerts.
"Saving energy on all levels is becoming a way of life for all of us as we continue to look to new ways to reduce the demand on the electrical grid and help the environment," said Ted Reguly, SDG&E director of customer programs and assistance.
