Ontario's Energy Ministry and Ottawa-based Energate – a residential demand response and home energy management provider -- announced a $5.8 million
Half of the money is from the province's Smart Grid Fund, with a match from Energate.

Projects like Energate’s will also help develop the talents and skills Ontarians need for the jobs of tomorrow, said Ontario Energy Minister Chris Bentley. “When cutting-edge technologies and expertise are cultivated in the province, everybody wins.”
