Alex Zheng is currently a joint-degree graduate student at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and The MIT Sloan School of Management, pursing a Master of Public Administration degree and a Master of Business Administration degree.  He also consults to utilities, regulators, private firms, local and state governments, and national laboratories through Horizon Energy Group.  He graduated Stanford University with a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering and from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management. 

 

His projects have included numerous smart grid projects for utilities and national labs, providing technical support for the Washington State Interdepartmental Sustainability Working Group, supporting renewable fueling station policy development in Washington State, and developing the next generation grid modeling software at Pacific Northwest National Lab.  His interests include new energy technology, energy policy, and ideas to achieve a sustainable world.
